I’m a teacher and I’m so over the overtime

I’ve never been the best at saying no. Today, I’m feeling very overworked because I have to give my lesson plans to my sub when I’m sick. I’m just going to write the minimum for my lesson plans. It’s not really fair for me to have to do the work to make sure the kids are happy and educated even when I’m too sick to be at school.<br><br>Edit: I just want to say thank you to the teachers who commented. I was very close to quitting my job last year, but I found some early career folks on Chambers who inspired me to stay in the classroom. I’m no longer feeling like I’m alone in this and it makes my heart feel lighter. It’s time to organize.
