I lied to a guy I work with

We were talking about these weird vibes I've been getting from my higher up. Several times I've caught him staring at me then when I look he looks away quickly. I asked him if he's ever experienced that from our boss and he said yes. He told me he thinks our boss had a crush on him but he didn't know how to approach it. I joked that maybe he wants me to be his girl and the other guy said I should go for it. I told him I wasn't going to do that but he kept pressing and even made me a bet that I wouldn't do it. The next day I went up to my boss and told him that I had feelings for him and would like to get together with him. I did expect him to be shocked and him to maybe turn me down gently but instead he turned beet red and he tried to get away from me but I didn't let go of his arm. He didn't say anything to me but slowly backed away from me. Now he glares at me and I'm going to have to find a new job but I won the bet.
