My boyfriend and I have been together 3 years now and everything is going really well between us.

He's a great guy, really down to earth. He has a great sense of humour, he's pretty considerate, albeit slightly forgetful and he's generally all round lovely.

So last night, we went to bed and within the hour, he was fast asleep.

I was still awake for about an hour or so, my mind wandering, thinking and planning all the mundane stuff one thinks about at 3am.

Just as I was starting to feel tired, I felt his arm snake its way round my belly and pull me into him.

I smiled and closed my eyes, ready to go to sleep.

Just as I was starting to drift off, I heard a voice. Loud and clear, in my ear.

"Did you think you could run?"

I frantically sat up, turned the light on and rubbed my eyes, hoping I'd just imagined it, but when I opened them I saw him, looking at me with a confused expression

"You ok? Are you scared of something?"

He rubbed my shoulder and gave me a little smile.

I was so shaken up that I could barely speak, so I just told him it was fine, and that I was just a little spooked but nothing to worry about, then I asked him if he'd said anything while he was asleep. His expression changed, he looked uncomfortable and he laughed awkwardly, saying "Oh, did I say something weird? Apologies"

I pressed him on it, asking what he'd said, but he insisted he didn't remember.

In the end, I was so freaked out I asked him if he could just make something up.

He looked me dead in the eye and said "I said, let me go, she's not like you"

I laughed awkwardly and tried to play it off, but I couldn't get to sleep after that and I'm seriously freaking out.
