So the kid we called Alex started at our school about 2 months ago. All of us were excited to have a new friend that maybe we could even date if we got to know him.

So there were about 5 of us that were all good friends. We hung out daily before, during and after school. We were inseparable.

Until Alex started.

He would always text. I didn’t even know it was possible to type that much. He would text over 100 times a day and it would consistently interrupt class (not to mention he had a very loud notification sound each time)

I’m not saying I’m proud of what I did and I probably did this for the wrong reasons but if I had to chance to go back I would probably do it again.

Alex was just an asshole. I know that’s not a reason to steal someone’s phone and we have all tried many different tactics to get him to turn his phone off.

This was the straw that broke the camels back. It was one of the last days of school and we were all sitting in class when Alex’s phone went off.... again. This was his 60th notification for the day and it was only lunch. So I reached across the desk and grabbed the phone and ran out of the classroom.

I full well knew that I was going to get in a shit ton of trouble at school and that I probably ruined the friendship. I ran out to the railroad bridge and threw it in the river. I went back to class with a huge grin on my face and everyone asked me what I did and I told them. I asked the teacher if I could go to the bathroom and I told my friends to look at Alex’s face when he didn’t get any more notifications and he would know what had happened. Alex’s face turned red and he flipped out.

Over all, I got a three day suspension and had to pay for a new phone. It was worth it.
