When leaving a restaurant, always walk through the room to make sure you have everything, this avoids awkwardly walking back to your table to get what ever it is you forgot after you've already sat down at the next table.

Edited to add: I have never gotten to the next table.. but I will just go back to the table in a less awkward way than having to walk past the table I'm now sitting at to get something I forgot at the table I was sitting at...
