A black girl saying "I'm black" in the same way a white person says "I'm white" is like a rich person saying "I'm rich" in the same way someone on the street says "I'm poor"

I feel like when the subject of race comes up, a white person will be like, "I'm white" in the same way a black person is like, "I'm black". Is this the first thing we think of about ourselves? Is this the first thing you think of when you look in the mirror? "Wow, he's black". I don't think about it at all.

I don't even notice race unless it's part of a discussion. I don't even notice my own race, it's something I don't think about. Is this just me? Anyways, thanks for listening to my TedTalk.
