Cake is the only thing we eat without salt. Weird in my opinion

I just realized that we don't put salt in any kinds of crepes, cakes, cookies, pancakes, waffles, cupcakes and so on. We put a lot of sugar and a lot of oil, but never salt. Why is that? Even water has some salt in it.<br><br>Edit: yes, most of these have salt in them, usually 1 teasp and up to 1 tbsp per a recipe
