I worked at a movie theater and took all the leftover popcorn home every night

I worked at a movie theater years ago and that place was a gold mine. The owners had no idea how much food they were sending to waste every night. The story goes that they were a family owned business and they inherited this theater years ago. The owner/inherited didn't really know what he was doing and he was absent a lot. We would get a big pallet of popcorn kernels every week and we would make popcorn through out the day. We had a giant bin on the popcorn machine that would hold a few days worth of popcorn. My first day on the job, I was cleaning the theater after closing time and a coworkers comes up to me and says

"Hey you want to take some popcorn home?"

I responded "we're not going to get fired for this?"

"We do it every night. We only clean out a fraction of the popcorn. They never notice and we throw it all away at the end of the night"

So I take my first batch home and it was a pain in the ass to take home a few trash bags full of popcorn. I had to make two trips and put them in my car. But I had a ton of popcorn to snack on. The following nights we kept doing this and we would sometimes just bring it to go and not even fill the trash bags up. The owners had no idea. We only had cameras in the box office so there's no way they could've caught us. We also had unlimited access to soda and salt and butter.

Edit: A lot of comments are saying this is a victimless crime but I have to disagree. The owners had to pay for all the popcorn and **they were** paying for my labor to do this.
