I just found my mother’s check-list. I wish I hadn’t.

My grandmother died almost two years ago now. After her death we spent a couple of weeks at my grandmother’s house cleaning out her stuff. <br><br>My mother was upset about the whole thing because she was very close to her mother. I remember her crying in her bedroom on the second floor while my father was on the first floor packing stuff into boxes. I was in the kitchen looking through some stuff that we weren’t going to bring with us when I stumbled upon a piece of paper that seemed to have been written by my mother. She had drawn some kind of a check-list and beneath it she had written:<br><br>NURSE: I’ve got the keys, she’ll be here at 3:00. <br><br>DEATH CERTIFICATE: Picked one up from the hospital. <br><br>DOCTORS NOTE: Got it. <br><br>MONEY: All the money is in the car now. <br><br>Already in car: <br><br>- 5 suitcases full of clothes. <br><br>- 3 big bags of Jewelry. <br><br>- Grandma.
