If you saw me swallow your pain pill in the hospital, you should have said something.

I was in a great deal of pain when I was in the hospital.<br>A lady I didn't know was in the other half of the room, I couldn't see her without getting out of the bed so I couldn't see her or anyone else except very briefly when a staff member opened the curtain.<br>A doctor came in and gave me a pill, but an older man came over (her husband) and asked for one too and the doctor said he didn't order it. <br>The doctor turned his back and walked out and the older man came over to me.<br>He had 2 pills in his hand and said I didn't need it, I assured him I did.<br>I swallowed it and he went back over to the other side of the curtain when the doctor turned back around.<br>Editing to add that this was over 10 years ago.<br>I'm not positive it was percocet, I'm just positive that I didn't need it and I took it anyway.<br>The lady was having major surgery the next day so I'm sure she was scared.<br> She probably really did need it.<br>The doctor made a huge mistake by asking if I was the couple.<br>I also wonder if the lady was cognizant enough to know what her husband did.
