What's up with pizza places and the phrase "Not responsible for lost/stolen orders once they leave our premises"

I get the premise but how about making sure the guy you hired to deliver it for you isn't on crack next time? Why do I as a paying customer have nothing but risk attached to the purchase of my order?<br><br>Edit: I am sympathetic to threats of delivery drivers being robbed. I would accept the disclaimer more if it was glance-able to spot a shady guy taking your order. Still seems like the risk is placed on the customer here - which is why I brought it up in the first place.
