I stole a whole pizza so I wouldn’t be regarded as a weirdo

this was years and years ago, when I was in high school, I’ve never told anyone this. <br>I got hired to a pizza place that my parents used to take me to when I was a kid, I was super excited because I would get free food and my parents would stop taking me there. Said and done, my first day as a delivery driver, I was super excited about my first delivery, my manager told me how to drive the car, use the GPS and all of that, then he gave me a pizza to be delivered to a customer, I took the Pizza and put it in the car and left, it started raining heavily, the GPS wasn’t working properly so it was telling me to go into a dead end street that was surrounded by houses, I know the city very well so I knew where I was going, but the GPS was sending me through a weird route, suddenly, a lady comes out of one of the houses that the GPS was sending me to and asked me if I was the pizza guy, I was confused but she told me she ordered a pizza and I told her that I don’t have any order with this address, she insisted and started yelling at me, telling me that she paid online and tipped me so I should be giving her the pizza and not driving away, I didn’t know what to do, she was yelling at me and I didn’t wanna ruin my first day so I gave her the pizza and then I drove away. <br>When I got back to the store my manager asked me how it went and if I got a good tip, I told him that the lady was mean and didn’t give me any tip, he was okay with that but I felt super bad, then he asked me for the whole Pizza menu to print out the order and the remaining stock, suddenly it hit me, that lady didn’t ordered any pizza!!! I didn’t have any receipt to hand to her or any order form, it was my first delivery!!! I started to panic because I didn’t know what to do, I was in a whole panic at this point and my manager wasn’t buying my story, so I panicked even more and told him that she said she ordered online, and then he started to look for the order, I felt like I was gonna throw up, he was looking and looking but there was no order, I was about to confess but I didn’t, he asked me again if she paid online and I said she did, he looked at me weird but didn’t say anything, I asked him if I could go home because I wasn’t feeling well, so I grabbed my stuff and left, I couldn’t sleep that night, I felt super bad, I started to think that they gonna fire me, they gonna call the cops on me, my parents will be disappointed, I didn’t sleep until I heard my manager calling me the next day asking if I was okay and if I could work that night, I was so happy, I told him yes of course, so I went to work and he told me he found the order, it was weird he said because it was ordered from a totally different city and the GPS was sending the guy to that address, but he said he was happy that I delivered it because I would’ve been regarded as a weirdo if I drove away, I felt so happy! I felt like I won the lottery! I was telling myself that I got away with it, the delivery guy that delivered to my house weeks before got caught stealing a pizza so I knew what would happen if they catch me, so I was super happy and felt like I got away with something, I worked there for 3 years and never stole anything again, I felt so bad that I never did it again, I didn’t even took a slice of pizza, I didn’t even took a cookie, not even a single napkin, I was so loyal after that night, I was so happy that I got away with it that I never stole anything again.<br><br>Edit: oh my god, y’all I didn’t know it would get this much attention, I’m overwhelmed, I’m trying to reply to as much as I can but there’s a lot of comments, I’m sorry for not replying to everyone of you.
