If you’re stuck for a gift for a young kid, get them a gift card and let them choose what they want for themselves.

Obviously not everyone feels this way, but I can remember getting gifts for my birthday or Christmas as a child that I didn’t ask for and never used. I would much rather have had the money to go buy a toy or game from the store. <br><br>I’m sure there are plenty of people that would view that as an asshole present from an asshole uncle, but every kid I’ve given a gift card to has been thrilled.
