The ancient Egyptians also believed that pharaohs were gods, but they built and drew and wrote for people. Anyone can verify that by observing what they left behind.<br><br>The same applies for those giant columns (like the one in Rome) built to honor gods. They were actually built for citizens, to let them live better lives. <br><br>Imagine if today's infrastructure was built under the umbrella of honoring gods, because it helped build better cities.
