Imagine 20 years ago watching your favorite tv show and every 5 min someone shouting "this stream is only made possible thanks to the generous donations of our sponsors like: $1 from Bob... $5 from Aroob... $100 from DrDookie... $50 from Susy... $0.50 from Rick... "

It's kinda funny that people would rather pay a guy to play a game rather than buying the game itself and play it.

Edit: I see a lot of people are saying "this guy doesn't get it, he's just a hater" : I watch streams, I like streams, I like the interaction, I've given money before, it's all fun and good and i like supporting the streamers, I would actually love to be a streamer myself, but I'm not good enough at any game to stream :(
But I'm not gonna deny, It's still very funny to think about it in the way I've painted in my post.

Edit 2 : I see a lot of streamers have found this post and are shaming their viewers to give more, this isn't my fault.

Edit 3 : I'd like to comment here and say, I've streamer for 2 years on twitch and youtube, I've built a small community (300 subs 40 concurrent viewers). I stream because I enjoy it, it helps me to socialize more, it gives my life a bit more meaning. I really appreciate every bit of money I get from subs/donations/etc...

I wanted to make streaming my full time job, I was close, but I had to get a better paying job to provide for my family, I still stream as much as I can, sometimes streaming A LOT more than full time, sometimes less. I love it so much.

I was a viewer for 4-5 years before I became a streamer. I've donated money, I've bought subs, I've made friendships, etc...

The point of the post was not to make fun of the viewers or the streamers, it's just a funny way to look at it, it was not made in a negative way towards the streamers, but I know it's human nature to look at the negative first.
