A man living in my attic.

When I was growing up we had lived in an old two story house. I knew it was a little creepy, but my mom said it was cheap and she would rather have extra money to buy my siblings and me things.

It wasn’t a large house, but it was a little bigger than average. I had two sisters and two brothers, and three of us had to share a room. The other of my siblings slept alone. I didn’t question it much since I was young at the time, but looking back I realized that it was strange. The room my sibling slept alone in was much bigger than the other room. In fact, it was larger than my parents’ room.

As I got older I realized that my family had been lying to me for years. Whenever my friends would ask me about my house, they would comment on how cool it was that I had so many siblings. Whenever I asked my parents about it they would say I must have misremembered.

One night I had decided to go get something to drink. I don’t know why, but as I walked through the hallway I looked up at the door that went in the attic. I had never been up there, and at that moment I felt a sudden urge to go up there for no reason. I thought it was weird, but I opened it up, and began to make my way up the stairs.

I had just gotten to the top when I saw a man looking at me with a sad expression on his face. I was in shock and as I stared at him he turned and ran away into the darkness. I had turned around to run back down the stairs when I heard my dad behind me. I turned around to see him blocking my way. He had the same expression on his face as the guy had. I turned around to run again and he caught me and carried me back to my room.

I don’t really remember anything after that because I think I passed out. I’m not really sure what happened to me after all of that. I just know that I was sitting in a rocking chair. It was days later when I looked around and realized what had happened. I was in that attic, and it was the only place I had been for years. It was horrible. The guy I saw was me, and it was the only time I saw myself.
