The most terrifying jump scare of my life happened in the middle of a crowded coffee shop.

I was studying at a coffee shop after work the other night when I pulled out my earbuds to ask someone for the time. The second I popped my earbuds out, I heard an extremely loud, clear voice right next to me say “hey buddy.” <br><br>I instantly whirled around to see who was talking to me, and I felt a cold rush of fear when I saw that it was not a person but rather the voice was coming from my earbuds. The voice was so loud and clear that it must have been right next to my ear and it sounded so real that I was convinced a voice was legit talking to me. <br><br>It honestly scared the shit out of me and I visibly started shaking. I was so freaked out that I almost cried and I had to hold myself back from yelling and screaming.<br><br>I almost couldn’t hear anything else that my friend was saying later on when we met up that night.
