I spent my friends birthday party ordering drink after drink.

Last night was one of my closest friend’s birthdays. We’re both 25, and he decided to have it at a trendy rooftop bar, which seemed like a nightmare to be at and it was. I went, and I was at work until like 9:30 ish. So I get to the bar, and it’s crazy packed, but it’s the type of bar where there’s a designated “bartender” for each table. The birthday boy already ordered like 4-5 drinks for himself, and I get there, and I notice he’s definitely a bit tipsy. But I had some time to kill and text him, and he says I don’t need to order any drinks, they all have my name on them. So I order like 7-8 more drinks, all cocktails, and spent like the rest of the night just sucking them down. I texted him again, and told him, I didn’t want to be rude to the bartender, and it would get too awkward, so I decided to drink them. I ate food and drink water at some point, but then a guy came to me that had ordered drinks that he wasn’t able to get to and offered me free drinks and I ended up having 4 of those. All on his birthday. Like I did drink them all pretty fast, and then left almost 2 hours ago, but it just felt so bad on his birthday.
