I stole pet food from the pet food store to feed strays

When I was 18-20 the pet food store I worked at was providing food for this lady that helped care for stray cats. I don’t know if it was legit or not but she gets her own cat fixed etc but it honestly didn’t matter to me.<br><br>I was getting new cat food in all the time and the old stuff was just getting dusty, so I would just grab a bag or two every time I saw her and she would take it to help care for the stray cats. <br><br>Now I don’t know if she legit took it to strays or it was just for her personal cat but it honestly didn’t matter to me. <br><br>I didn’t get in trouble but I was caught on camera by my manager who was the owner and was given the option to quit or be fired. <br><br>I didn’t want him to know the pet food was for the stray cats so I just told him I was taking it for my own cats.
