My friend used to work at a local radio station in my home town, and he went on one day on the morning show and told a story that really creeped me out. I went to dig up more info so I can share it with you guys, and it is creepier than I originally thought.

What happened was that back in the 70's there was a man named Owen who got a job at the local radio station for the night shift. He would be the only person there for most of the night, and a couple years went by without any issues. Then strange things started to happen, and eventually, he went insane.

To start with it was small, the lights in the hallway of the building would flicker when he walked by, the soundproof room that he was in would get heated when the AC was on, and he started bring a fan to work to cool himself. He was a heavy smoker so he would take smoke breaks, and he would usually sit on the sidewalk of the building and bring a small radio with him. One day he was sitting there, and he heard himself talk, but he wasn't talking. He thought the radio was just delay, but eventually, he figured out that it was future him talking. He was a superstitious man, so it creeped him out so bad, he started bringing a tape recorder with him to his shift. He would record his whole shift, then the next day, he would listen to that tape while he worked, and write down anything that he didn't say.

He would then bring that list with him next time he worked, and blurt out those phrases and pause and write down the response, and he had a pretty solid conversation.

One day he decided to mess with the future him a little, and he just talked about random stuff that wasn't true, and the next day he found out that what he said really happened. He talked about winning the lottery, and a couple weeks later when he checked his lotto tickets, he had the 4 winning numbers, but not the 5th. He thought that if he could somehow talk himself into winning the lottery then maybe he could will himself to saying the 5th number. So the next night he talked about winning the lottery and said the number, and when he checked his lotto ticket of that number, he won the jackpot.

After that, he thought he could live the life of his dreams. He asked future him if he should quit, and future him said to stay. Then the next night, he asked again if he should quit, but this time he got a no, so he quit. A couple days later he got a call from his old boss, asking why he quit, and he told him about the whole thing, and his boss was very skeptical, and asked him to sell him the tapes. He did, and it really was Owen talking to himself. The boss then asked him to come back to work, and he did.

One night he was sitting in the soundproof room, and he saw the light flickering out of the window of the room that the lights of the hallway were shining through. And the flickering spelled out "GET OUT." in morse code. He was very creeped out, but he couldn't bring himself to quit again. One night he was listening to a tape of the conversation he had with himself, and his future self said a phrase he didn't write down. "THE DEVIL IS BEHIND ME." He looked behind him, but there was no one there. He was really creeped out, but he still couldn't bring himself to quit.

Then one night, he blurted out, "WHO ARE YOU?" his future self responded with "THE DEVIL." Owen was very creeped out, then he started hearing his own voice, but he wasn't saying anything. He finally figured out a way to bring himself to quit. He packed his stuff, and he was walking out the door when he heard his own voice say "GOOD BYE." Then the speakers in the lobby blasted "SEE YOU SOON." He never set foot in that building again.

Edit: if you want more info, leave a comment, and I'll see if I can dig it up.
Edit2: I've been trying to find more info, but I haven't yet, but I did find a similar story that happened at a different radio station. It happened in the 90's instead of the 70's, but the general premise of the story is the same. It seems to be a local legend.
Edit3: I talked to my friend, and he said that the legend has been going around, and he doesn't know if it is actually true, but a similar thing did happen in the 80's at that station. It was similar, but one of the DJs was talking to himself, but it was in the vent above the soundproof room, and it wasn't just talking, it was whispering, and it eventually drove him crazy.
Edit4: I was digging through some boxes, and I found an article from a local paper. The article is about the strange occurrences, and a quote from the police chief, Tim Smith, that the man who used to work there did go crazy, and he is currently living in the local insane asylum. I've been trying to find the exact date of the article, but it seems to be from the late 70's.
Edit5: I talked to my friend again, and he said that he knows someone who works at the asylum, and Owen is still living there, and he is still talking to himself through the vents.
