Then double check your things. What do you need for this particular job? Does that company allow laptops in the building? If not, you won't need it. But if you miss your morning train, and have to take a later one, how will you get to work? Find your route out the night before. What bus route should you take? Walking route? What will you eat? If you have to get your lunch before work, where will you go? Any bus delays? Check for road closures, construction, accidents. Does your new credit card work? Did you get new shoes? Have they broken in? Make sure you have your car charged. Find out the traffic route to take to get there. The route you would normally take everyday might not be the best route to take if traffic is an issue. I would also find out how far the particular parking garage is to the actual building. Any changes in your life? If you have to drop your children off to a sitter, do you have enough time to do so in the morning? Does your sitter have enough time to get to work if she has to take off early? Wake up a little earlier than usual. You don't want to rush in your first day. Does your car have enough gas in it? Or if you have to give your gas money to your Uber driver, make sure you have enough for the particular route you take.
