I cancelled my wedding to my high school sweetheart because of her shower habits

I know this might sound ridiculous, but I just graduated college and my girlfriend of five years, Maddie, and I were planning to get married. I met her in high school and we have been together ever since. We live together in an apartment and are ready to start our life together. However, I have a confession to make.<br><br>Maddie has a habit of showering at odd hours of the night, usually around 2 or 3 am. Sometimes, she'll even take a second shower in the morning. This used to be a minor issue, but lately, it has become a bigger problem. I've tried to be patient and understanding, but her showering habits are starting to affect our relationship.<br><br>I've noticed that she doesn't always wash her hair or body properly, which has led to her having dandruff and body odor. I've gently suggested that she take better care of her personal hygiene, but she doesn't seem to be interested in making any changes.<br><br>I've also noticed that Maddie often uses my shower products, like shampoo and conditioner, without asking. This has led to her hair smelling like my hair, which is a bit strange. I've tried to talk to her about it, but she doesn't seem to understand why it's a problem.<br><br>I should never have brought it up.<br><br>The breaking point came last week when I caught her using my deodorant. I felt violated and uncomfortable, and I realized that I couldn't marry someone with such poor personal hygiene habits. I sat her down and told her that I couldn't go through with the wedding. She was shocked and upset, and we had a big argument.<br><br>I know that this might sound petty, but I couldn't bring myself to spend the rest of my life with someone who doesn't take care of their personal hygiene.
