I worked in some pretty fast paced environments and was often tasked with acquiring “difficult to get” items, which was a general code for items that were super expensive.

I would always pad the orders by 2-3 units so one would get lost, one would be used, and the other 2-3 units would somehow get lost and end up in the trunk of my car.

I would then resell those units on craigslist/ebay and would also use some of the items for myself (high end ink cartridges, laser cutters, 3D printing filament, high end software licenses, high end writing instruments).

I didn’t do this for the money but more to disrupt the supply chain and to see what I could get away with.

I usually break even, sometimes make money and sometimes I’d lose money but it was about disrupting corporate supply chains because it’s really a waste of money sometimes.

Some of the things I stole were:

1) High end watercolor paints made of elephant ivory and limited edition colors
2) Expensive software licenses that were left unused
3) Laser cutters and 3D printing filament
4) Custom made printer ink cartridges that cost $1200 a unit
5) Custom made toner cartridges for specific printers

One time I lifted an epson surecolor P800 which is a $6,000 printer which I lifted from a conference.
