I'm a bartender and I served 2 drinks to a couple and they both got drugged.

I'm a bartender at a hotel and it was a very busy night, we had multiple weddings and other parties going on. And on top of all that, there was an event and lots of people came to stay at the hotel and they would come to the bar to have a drink when the party would end after midnight.<br><br>It was a very busy night, and we were understaffed. The other bartender, he was new and had only been bartending for 2 weeks and he was freaking out because he had neverbartended when it was that busy. <br><br>Anyway, one of the waitresses that was working that night came with a couple and they sat at the bar and wanted to order drinks. She told me it was on her as they were friends of hers. I didn't even question it because I was busy making drinks on autpilot and I didn't even think about asking her about it, I just made them 2 drinks and served them to the couple. Then I noticed she left with them and they went to the pool. <br><br>Around 3am is when I noticed those 2 drinks were still on the bill and it was weird - I don't usually forget to take the drinks off the bill when the customer leaves and I'm positive I did not forget and I'm positive that the waitress paid or left a card for them but they were still on the bill. It caught my attention because it was only those 2 drinks and nothing else. So, I went to find her and ask and she told me that she went with them to the room because they were feeling really bad and they threw up all over the room. She told me that the girl passed out but the guy was still awake and feeling dizzy. I apologized and offered to get them some water but she said they both passed out already.<br><br>I was really busy so I didn't even think much about it. And when it was closing time, the new bartender and I were both in shock and exhausted because it had never been that busy before and we were understaffed. So when I closed the till, I noticed I had a credit of $60 (the 2 drinks) and so I decided to comp it and gave my self $60 in cash and left.<br><br>The next morning I get a call from our head of security asking me if I served alcohol to minors. I told him of course not and then hew told me if a waitress came and vouched for them and I served them to minors. I told him no, that I'm positive everyone I served was not a minor and he got quiet for a second and told me to come in and we'll talk with the GM. I asked what was going on and he told me to just come in. So I did.<br><br>When I got there, the GM was there and a few other managers and they told me that those 2 people that I served the drinks to were minors and they were drugged. Apparently they had a party in the room and they think someone put drugs in the drinks I served them and they were passed out all night and the next morning, the girl was in the hospital and she had to get her stomach pumped.<br><br>I got fired of course and now I'm being sued by the parents because they think it's my fault that I served minors. But it's not my fault, I would never do that and it was during a crazy busy night and I had a new bartender and I was running around like crazy. I swear, it was not my fault. And on top of that, the girl could have died had they not taken her to the hospital. I feel terrible.
