I’ve stole 1000s of dollars of food from my job

I’m currently 22 years old and working at an airport for a fast food chain. On my first day I was shown how to run the register and stuff but let me tell you I totally forgot after like 2 seconds. But what I do remember is one of my coworkers told me if I ever need something I just scanned my card and said do you know to get it free, I totally forgot but once I work there for 2 years, 3 years 4 years and I totally forgot that you can do that so once my coworkers told me one day again and I’ve been doing it for 2 years. I even buy some food and then I let my coworkers have it for free and they’re totally like what the hell I just forgot about this, the counter is really busy once I give a free food I just forgot about it, the counter is really busy once I give a free food, I just forgot about it and every time I do something like that I get a huge anxiety attack like an hour or 2. Once we had a district manager come in and I was like holy crap like once my coworker wanted something for free and I was like I’m not gonna do it this time and then she told the district manager and he said it’s OK, I once bought 2 huge water bottles and 2 bag of chips and I give it to my coworker and then she told the district manager and he said it’s OK and then my coworker left and I was like holy crap you could have told me like that before I don’t have to be anxious about it, the water bottles were $5 each and the bag of chips were like $7. I don’t know I guess I just don’t want to work here anymore I’m currently looking for a new job
