When my neighbors rent out their houses I destroy them before I leave.

I pay a lot more rent than I should, 800 for a 4 bedroom house in my city is cheap as balls. My landlord lives in another city, so he doesn’t live in the neighborhood.

I give the neighbors a hard time. I don’t like them. They go out of their way to try to make my life hard. The male neighbor doesn’t like that I don’t have a job and I sleep in a lot and I think he thinks I receive handouts, so he makes sure everyone knows I’m a piece of shit, which actually works and most of the street doesn’t like me, or my dog, who is an absolute angel.

My neighbors don’t like my dog for some reason, he’s not an outside dog and even if he was he would never get out of our yard. He’s never barked at them before and he’s the friendliest dog ever, he loves people. He’s well taken care of, and he’s never tried to get to the neighbors, but they won’t shut their fuckin mouths about him and even go so far as to call him a stray, even though he’s microchipped and wears a collar with tags. He’s a small dog, the cutest dog you’ve ever seen, he’s never done shit but the neighbors don’t like him and try to make him seem like he’s some kind of nuisance, when he’s not.

Anyway, when they move out and it’s up for rent, I go in the house as soon as possible and either break something important, like the stove, or scratch up the walls and floors, destroy the carpets, and then give them a bad review on Zillow. I like to break their garage door open and leave it open.

I’ve done it to two houses so far.

One of them we were the reason they moved. They couldn’t afford their mortgage and their really nice house and my landlord jacked up the rent because of inflation. He said he was getting audited or something and he’d have to pay a lot of money if he kept the rent cheap, so it went up almost 400$ and they couldn’t afford it. I never felt more powerful.

I feel so bad about it but a part of me feels like it’s what they deserve, even though I know that’s not true.
