I was picked up by a woman a few years older than me who struck up a conversation. She was a fortune teller of sorts. She offered to read my fortune and even discussed her abilities. She offered me a bet: she would write a prediction on a piece of paper. If she learned more about me than I did about her, I would have to give her something. If I learned more about her than she did about me, she would give me what I choose. I laughed and thought about how bad it would be if I lost. She offered a second option. If I performed the prediction I was given at the end of the day, I only have to give her an object of my choice. I said sure. I was given a folded up piece of paper.

Over the next few hours, we got to know each other. We discussed everything. I knew her favorite food, favorite color, what she liked, what she didnt. She was a very interesting person. When I thought of it, I got it. She was that special person I was gonna meet, the one that my grandma had told me about.

But what was my fortune?

I said goodbye and she went into her tent. I unfolded the paper. She was right, she did know more about me than I did her.

Well, I thought, I could have just given her my phone.

*Log into your computer. Look at your desktop.
