I stole a cops lightly used bulletproof vest

When I was 11, my friend and I were going to play with bb guns and he told me he had brought a bulletproof vest for me to wear. I was a lightly used one from one of his dad’s cop friend who wasn’t on shift that day. I asked him what his dad’s friend was going to wear and he said “oh he’s dead.”<br><br>That’s when the perp realized he was surrounded by police and he opened fire, which is what the police said caused his death. It really sent a ball through his heart. <br><br>When the killer saw my friend and I quickly leave the area, he said to himself “oh no the child escaped with a valuable piece of police property.” Then the police shot him and he died.<br><br>He and I never had a chance to talk after that. My life was changed forever.
