Being a kid in the 90s- early 2000s was better than being a kid today.

In the 90s and early 2000s, the internet was nowhere near as prominent as it was now. Yes, there was Myspace and Yahoo, but that was about it. At this time, people readable was higher than it was now, and this means parents had an easier time finding jobs with higher pay. Also at this time, minimum wage was $5.15 for students and $5.25 for non students and at this time, $5.15 could buy a lot more than $7.25 can today. Also things like parenting wasn’t as difficult as it is today. Back then if you were upset as a kid, parents would just tell you to go outside. Today, if a kid is upset, they are given a device to play on until they stop being upset. Also, back in the day, school was actually about learning. Sure, there were cliques and popular kids and bullying, but that wasn’t as bad as it is today. Today, kids would rather fight with each other on social media rather than face to face. Today, if kids are in school, most of them are on their phone. Back in the day, we didn’t have cellphones good enough to play games and go on the internet. No, today it seems kids care more about the popularity they have online than their popularity in real life. I am 23 now, and the way I was raised compared to how kids are raised today is completly different.
