I took my daughter's pet chicken outside while she was at school and drowned it under the water hose.

Back when my daughter was little she begged us to let her have a pet chicken. We bought the chick from the feedstore and build a small pen.<br><br>After several months the chicken got big and smelled so bad. The chickens scream at certain times of the day and attracted the neighbors attention. I was going crazy. I wanted her to let the chicken go but she said she wanted to let it go on her birthday. She was very attached to the chicken and I just did not want to take it away from her. <br><br>The chicken was kept in the back yard near my bedroom window. I was working nights at the time. One day I had just fallen asleep when I was woken by the chickens extremely loud screams. This was odd for the chicken to scream at this time of day. I looked out my window and saw a fox in the pen and it was attacking the chicken. <br><br>I immediately ran outside and chased the fox away. The chicken had injuries to its eyes but otherwise it looked fine. I decided to end the chickens life. I ran the water hose and drowned it. Some karmic force immediately made me feel bad. I felt guilty for months and hope that I don't run into my daughter's spirit in the after life. I told my daughter the fox killed it and she was very sad for days.
