I was a manager for 7 years. I was a good employee and never had any write ups or anything like that. I made sure to run the store efficiently and made a lot of profit each year. I always made sure the employees under me were happy.

I took food constantly. I probably took over $100,000 worth over 7 years. I would give some away and take some home and use it to feed my small children and make food for pot lucks at work. I had my own key so I could come and go as I pleased. I always made sure the store was well stocked and clean. Everything else was perfect as well. No loss and low turnover. I made sure the employees I supervised had everything they needed to succeed.

I consistently got raises and they really wanted me to move up the corporate ladder but I didn’t want to move my family so I ended up leaving for a better job in the same field. I still feel guilty but I wasn’t forced to do it. I chose to. And I took for 7 years.
