In a High-Rise Hotel Room, Never Take The Elevator All The Way To The Top

Hotels only put one elevator on each end. The middle elevators end 2-3 floors from the top. This saves hotel money on construction costs (cheaper land acquisition, smaller elevator equipment, etc). If you take the elevator all the way to the top, it will usually stop 2-3 floors from the top and you'll have to get off and take the stairs up. If you hit the button for a floor 3 floors from the top, it will stop on that floor and you can walk up the stairs and get a better view.
