Moving to a new city at 27 would've been way easier than moving at 22.

I moved to a new city right after graduation, with a few thousand dollars, no job lined up, and nothing but a degree in a useless field and a stubborn determination to stay on my own. The process of looking for a job, finding a place to live, etc. was incredibly difficult, partly due to my lack of experience but mostly because I was in a new area with no connections.

I recently took a job offer on the other side of the country, and the experience was completely different. I now have a good job and friends across the country to visit, I have a solid emergency fund and good credit, I've purchased a new car that can hold all my stuff, and I have a solid idea of what to look for in a new apartment. It's been much easier this time around.
