I actually learned this from a therapist, writing down your feelings etc can help you feel better in general. But specifically for people having trouble falling asleep, this helps a lot. It is also a good habit to get into if you are feeling really overwhelmed and can't sleep, this can help you calm down and eventually fall asleep. This actually works, and there is some science to explain it, too. The brain is a weird thing, and this is a helpful and simple way to get your brain to shut up at night.<br><br>EDIT: wow, this blew up. Glad it helped so many people.
