I give away food from my restaurant to starving university students and people who are on benefits to save money on food because I hate seeing anyone go hungry and i don't want to turn anyone away

I own a small restaurant in the uk and im going through a hard time just managing to keep it afloat and staying out of debt and it's hard when your the only one running the show and managing staff and orders and all the other things that come with owning a business<br><br>I give people free food who can't afford to eat in a restaurant or even have a decent meal sometimes for example i have a regular who gets a meal from me once a week and now she knows me so she comes in and sits down and she never will order anything but i always give her a bowl of soup and a sandwich because she has no money and is on benefits and i know what it's like when you just want a nice meal and you can't afford to have one<br><br>I do this for so many people and its become normal especially for one of the universities that's nearby and the students come in starving and i let them have free food and they always say they will pay me when they have the money but i just see it as a nice thing to do and i do it anyway just to help them out and i didn't realise how many people i was giving free food to and i don't even care because i just hate seeing people go hungry especially when i own a restaurant and its there for everyone whether you can afford it or not<br><br>Edit: okay so i didn't expect this post to get this many replies and im actually feeling quite overwhelmed but thank you everyone for the kind words and advice it means a lot to me and i appreciate all feedback positive or negative
