I wrote comments on my friend’s “work in progress” stories.

My friend sat in my living room for hours tonight and I brought her tea, coffee, and snacks. She said she wanted to spend the day simply sitting and just being. This last week in her life has been so hard, so I was very happy to host her.<br><br>She also wanted to email all of her friends the first draft of her new creative writing projects. I wrote her an email to let her know I’d read her stories and I even added in some comments. She really appreciated both of us, and it felt like I was part of her process.<br><br>We talked about the stories and I loved her pirates story, and I also loved her story about a fighting wizard. She was obsessed with stories when we were kids, just like me, and she eventually finally figured out how to write the way she’s always wanted to.<br><br>I’m so proud of her. Before she left I showed her a game my partner is making, and she loved it too. He is one of the best people ever. I’m so glad we’re all living together. I couldn’t be happier.
