I stole my ex-husbands prosthetic leg to get back my stolen property

I'm a little nervous to post this so I'll be vague on some details.

Me and my husband divorced a little over a year ago. We had a pretty amicable divorce. He even gave me the house, and took care of the mortgage with no problem. We've been on good terms and there was no bad blood between us. However, he started dating this woman who is slowly trying to replace me. Every week, it seems like she tries to take another thing from me. She took the dog, she took the house, she stole a dress I had designed for our wedding (it wasn't a big wedding, but it was the only thing I actually wanted. I didn't care about the dog or the house. I just wanted my dress and my ex's leg back).

They announced their engagement last week and I saw that she was wearing MY DRESS. I snapped. She had to be taught a lesson.

I waited until I knew she would be gone, and I went over to his house and stole his prosthetic leg. He hasn't called me in years, but out of the blue, he called asking how I was doing. I knew he was in pain because I knew he hadn't replaced my dress (which was actually a Veil, not a dress). He was begging me to give it back. I said I would only give it back if he came to my house and got it himself. He could not walk with only one leg. He kept begging for me to give it back but I said it was HIS FAULT he didn't have a leg to stand on. I told him he had 24 hours to come and get it, or else its gone forever. He said he couldn't come over because he didn't have a leg. I told him again, that was HIS FAULT for not having a leg to stand on.

Finally, he said his fiancé would be giving it back. I said that wasn't good enough and I wasn't going to give it to her. I would give it back to HIM, and ONLY HIM. I said if he couldn't come and get it, than he should have thought about that before he let her wear it.

Long story short, his fiancé showed up at my house and threw my dress in my face. She told me to leave him alone. I said maybe I would now that I could wear my dress in piece. Then I told him I still had his leg and if he wanted it, he had to come and get it.

His fiancé got mad and left. She called the police on me because I stole from him. They could not get in contact with my ex-husband. They told me they would have to arrest me if they got a call from him.

The next day, he shows up at my house hobbling around on crutches. He tells me the police were looking for me and to please give him his leg back. I told him I wouldn't give it to him unless he broke up with her. He said he still loved me. I said that wasn't good enough. I told him I wanted him to get back with me.

He said he would only do it if I gave him his leg back. I said he had 24 hours to get back with me or I would throw his leg in the ocean. He said he would do it. I told him not to play games with me. I told him if he didn't follow through, I would get my revenge.

He asked me if he could stay with me for the night. I said he could, and I gave him his leg back. I think maybe I should have waited the 24 hours, because in the morning he was gone, and his leg was still at my house.

I'm thinking about giving it back. I don't want to be liable for anything that might happen to him, but at the same time, I don't want to give up the only power I have in the situation.
