I faked my own kidnapping to get money from my family

When I was 19 I owed $700 to a bookie in town and my parents refused to bail me out. So I had my girlfriend pick me up, which made it look like I was kidnapped. I had my parents get a call saying that I owed these people money and if they didn't give us $700, they would be very upset. I was able to convince my parents to do it so I could pay of the debt.<br><br>They dropped off the money at the location I told them to, where my girlfriend was waiting to pick it up. All in all we made off with about $800. This brought my debt to about $100, but I was able to make up for that by selling some weed.<br><br>This all happened in October of '07 and my parents still have no idea about any of it.
