I stole dozens of the same DVD for years and spent years building a prison based on them.

I have never told anyone about this and it is so stupid that I don't know how to explain it but for years I stole the DVD "Willie Wonka and the chocolate factory" when I was in Walmart or Target. I never stole for the sake of being a thief. I had money, I had access to a car, I had the means to purchase these but there was something about stealing these that was so satisfying. By the time I turned 16 there was one point where my room had over 50 copies of the same movie and each one was meticulously opened and the plastic wrapping was removed and folded neatly. It was almost an obsession for me. I didn't know why I stole them. I lost count over the years but I'm sure I stole hundreds.

It all started when I stole one from Walmart one day because I didn't have money for it, and it was such a rush. I was caught by one of the greeters as I tried to walk out but I talked my way out of it. I don't remember what I said, but he either believed me or he felt bad because I was able to walk out with it.

I've since gotten rid of every single one of them but the one copy I have now I bought because I didn't want to be a thief anymore. But I miss the rush, and I miss looking at the dozens of wrapping that sat in shoe boxes under my bed.

EDIT: I wish I still had some of the wrapping or the DVDs themselves to post pictures but everything was thrown out years ago.
