I lied to my coworkers about why I was taking time off

Last week I told my family history-loving coworkers that I needed to take the day off to go see the new Impractical Jokers movie with a friend. In reality, I just wasn't feeling it that day and didn't want to do the work. My boss told me I couldn't take it off and it violated our no call no show policy. I decided in a split second to say "I've decided not to go and instead donate a vial of my semen to the Sperm Bank so my children can be born and I can be a productive member of society. You know, an act of good." She was silent for a few seconds and then told me to come in to work. She didn't say anything else, but I think she was genuinely confused. I showed up to work that day with my boss avoiding me like the plague. I think she believed me at first, but maybe not? Honestly I don't know what to think of my own lie.
