I stole a disabled persons parking spot then tried to play dumb when I got called on it

When I was about 14-15 I used to help my brother at a parking lot he worked at. His parking lot was connected with a chain link fence to the lot next door that had a grocery store. The owner of the parking lot my brother worked at let us park there even when we weren't working for free. <br><br>One day me and my girlfriend at the time went to the parking lot to hang out and the only parking spot left was a disabled parking spot. I didn't think it would matter since it was Sunday and the offices attached to the parking lot were closed. <br><br>Not long after we parked a van pulls up and parks next to me. The van had a ramp on it for disabled people. The ramp goes down and out comes a very angry disabled person in a wheelchair. This guy starts yelling at me through my window for parking in the disabled spot. I try to play dumb and tell him that the spots next to me aren't marked as disabled spots and I thought they were all good... The guy was pissed and told me I'm an asshole and that I should be shot then he drives off in his van.<br><br>As he was driving away I realized he was probably going to go tell the owner of the grocery store and come back with a ticket or something so my girlfriend and I thought it would be a good idea to go into the grocery store. <br><br>We go into the store and not long after the disabled guy is going down the aisle across from us yelling at the top of his lungs "There he is! There he is!". So we leave the store then drive away. The disabled guy is following us in his van down the street waving his middle finger at us the whole way.<br><br>I still think about this once in a while and feel bad that I tried to play dumb. I've been terrified of parking in disabled spots ever since.<br><br>Edit: for everyone asking why disabled spots have van accessible spots, it's because the vans have ramps or lifts on them and need more space to open them. The regular disabled spots are just for people in wheelchairs that can walk out of their vehicle without the ramp.<br><br>Edit 2: thank you for all the karma, I didn't think this story would get this many upvotes
