Imagine if the brain of a fetus could think up to birth day. Imagine the horror of being born.

Imagine realizing all the sensations you feel are your own body growing. Imagine realizing your floating in a liquid, in the dark. Imagine realizing your entire universe is empty except for the occasional voice or song you hear. Imagine realizing you have a large cord that provides you with food and nutrients. Imagine watching yourself grow different body parts. Your first realization you even have a body. Imagine that and then one day you realize you have ears because you can hear music being played to you. Imagine being happy that you can at least hear music now and feel the vibrations of people talking to you.

Imagine one day the universe starts shaking. It starts getting tighter and tighter. You realize that either your universe is getting smaller or you’re getting bigger. Imagine the horror of realizing you can’t fit in your universe anymore. Imagine if it didn’t stop getting smaller only tighter and tighter to the point you are in pain. Imagine the realization that your universe is killing you and you can’t do anything about it. Imagine the fear of realizing you are no longer safe in your universe. Imagine the realization that your body is now meant to leave your universe and that your universe might kill you in the process. Imagine the fear of leaving the only universe you’ve ever known.

The universe keeps getting tighter and tighter. It starts getting brighter. You can feel yourself being squeezed out of your universe. You realize that this is the end. This is either the end of you or at the very least the end of your universe. You start to feel your self leaving your universe. You realize there is pain. Your universe was just a pain free existence and you didn’t realize it because you didn’t know anything else existed.

You leave your universe. The light is blinding. It is so loud. Imagine the music you heard in your universe and how the vibrations were soothing. This is nothing like that. This is so loud and scary. Everything hurts. You realize you’re breathing. You didn’t do that in your universe. You didn’t know this was even a thing you had to do. You realize if you don’t breathe you start hurting more. It’s like your entire body is telling you to stop not breathing. You realize if you do breathe you still hurt. The light also hurts. You realize your eyes hurt from the light. You realize you have eyes that can open and close. They have been closed your entire life and now you can open them. The light is to much. You keep them closed. You realize your eye lids hurt because of the light. That’s why they are closed.

You are scared. You are alone. You are hurting. You are in pain. Imagine the horror of being born.
