I stole thousands of dollars in change over 2 years working at McDonalds

When I was 16 I got a job at McDonald’s. I hated making food and working front counter, so I always asked to work the drive thru window, which was split into two parts: taking money, and giving food. I always worked the money part, which was taking money from customers and giving them their food back through the next window.
One day I had just taken about $20 from 4 customers and I had the bright (and very stupid) idea to only deposit $5 of the $20 into the drawer and pocket the remaining $15.
Well that $15 turned into $30 which turned into $50 which turned into $60 which turned into $100.
This happened almost every shift I ever worked taking money and I did this for two years.
When I turned 18 I quit and never looked back. I probably stole well over $100,000 over two years.

I’m not proud of this. It’s definitely one of my life’s biggest regrets.
