My dad’s shirt caught on fire while we were cooking and I didn’t tell him right away because I wanted to see how long it would take him to notice and now I feel like the most terrible, unfaithful daughter ever.<br><br>Context: my dad is a really bad cook and has a tendency to be very lazy while cooking. <br><br>So today I was cooking dinner and he was helping. He was standing right next to the fire on the stove and his shirt started smoking. I could see the tiny flames of fire on the edges but I didn’t say anything to him because I wanted to see how long it took him to notice himself. He didn’t notice for 3 or 4 minutes, I don’t know I wasn’t counting. Anyways, he finally noticed after my mom tugged on his shirt and he literally jumped back in shock. When he found out that I knew, he got mad at me and I got in trouble. I feel terrible now because I could have saved my dad from what could have been a terrible accident, but I didn’t because I was curious.
