Has anyone else noted a change in the bugs this past summer?

We had a colder then normal spring which I believe may have caused the bugs to reproduce slower at first. But this summer I didn’t deal with near the number I have in the past. Don’t get me wrong I still got them in the house and I’m still waiting for them to die off for the most part, but the yard was not infested like I’ve dealt with . The past summers I couldn’t sit on my patio without them being all over me, but not this summer.
