Christmas Party with girlfriend and her parents went really well

I have not been here for a while, and the reason is that my girlfriend of 3 years suggested to adopt a cat. I was hurt and sad, but she promised to reconsider after all the fuss around the holidays settles down. So there still is hope one day we have a baby together. But we had Christmas with her parents and the topic of having a family came up, and she said that it is our priority as long as we can do it naturally. I was delighted by this, but now that I think about it, she did not mention that adopting is off the table, so I wonder what will happen next year.
