Does anyone else want to live in a small village or town rather than a big city?

I'm tired of living in Portland Oregon I can't stand it here. My partner and I were looking at real estate in Monterey, CA but I can't see us affording to live there. <br><br>I think I want to live in a small town or village rather than a big city. I want to feel like I'm part of a community rather than just another face in the crowd. Is anyone else here not fond of big city living?
