Are you American? Do you have Apple Pay. Are you flying out of Chicago? Use Apple Pay on the CTA!

Had no idea about this until I worked in Chicago for a few weeks recently.

I travel quite a bit for work and usually fly out of Chicago O'Hare and Midway once or twice a month. I used to buy a ventra card from one of the machines at the airport and then eventually got a physical ventra card.

As of last year the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) supports Apple Pay and other tap-to-pay credit cards, removing the need to get a physical card or buy individual rides from a machine.

It saves a ton of time at the airport since you don't have to stand there at the machine and wait for your receipt and card. I can't tell you how many times I'm standing behind somebody at the airport waiting for them to figure out the machine.

If you travel out of Chicago often your Apple Pay bank card can be connected to the ventra app removing the need to buy individual tickets. You can even setup auto-reload so you don't have to worry about that either.

Anyway, just an FYI.
