My husband and I are both 30 with one child. I make $165,000 and he makes $70,000. I am not sure I want to work full time forever, but I want my child to have both parents available. How do we make this work?

I am a lawyer and my husband works in advertising. My work hours are typically long hours, 60-80 hours per week. His work hours are more standard and he is usually done by 5.

I don’t know if I can sustain the hours I work forever, but if I cut back on hours I will have to take a hit to my income. I make a lot more than my husband and I don’t know how to make it work while our son is little. I feel like he has to support me if I were to cut back but I know he’s not comfortable that. How do we make this work? I can’t be the primary bread winner and be a stay at home parent too.
