Being a single dad with half custody is just as hard as being a single mom but I don't have a day for people to make it a point to show appreciation for me.

I'm not saying it's the same experience but it's just as hard. Like I understand Mothers Day and Fathers Day are traditional but it's a silly tradition when half the kids in the world don't have a mom or a dad. This is just my opinion but it should be called Parents Day and be on the same day. I'm not saying single dads need all the attention but a little acknowledgement that we exist would be nice.
